By downloading or using the app, these terms will automatically apply to you – you should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using the app. You’re not allowed to copy or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You’re not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you also shouldn’t try to translate the app into other languages or make derivative versions. The app itself, and all the trademarks, copyright, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to it, still belong to Coriolis.

Coriolis is committed to ensuring that the app is as useful and efficient as possible. For that reason, we reserve the right to make changes to the app or to charge for its services, at any time and for any reason. We will never charge you for the app or its services without making it very clear to you exactly what you’re paying for.

The Coriolis ComUnity app stores and processes personal data that you have provided to us, to provide our Service. It’s your responsibility to keep your phone and access to the app secure. We therefore recommend that you do not jailbreak or root your phone, which is the process of removing software restrictions and limitations imposed by the official operating system of your device. It could make your phone vulnerable to malware/viruses/malicious programs, compromise your phone’s security features and it could mean that the Coriolis ComUnity app won’t work properly or at all.

You should be aware that there are certain things that Coriolis will not take responsibility for. Certain functions of the app will require the app to have an active internet connection. The connection can be Wi-Fi or provided by your mobile network provider, but Coriolis cannot take responsibility for the app not working at full functionality if you don’t have access to Wi-Fi, and you don’t have any of your data allowance left.

If you’re using the app outside of an area with Wi-Fi, you should remember that the terms of the agreement with your mobile network provider will still apply. As a result, you may be charged by your mobile provider for the cost of data for the duration of the connection while accessing the app, or other third-party charges. In using the app, you’re accepting responsibility for any such charges, including roaming data charges if you use the app outside of your home territory (i.e. region or country) without turning off data roaming. If you are not the bill payer for the device on which you’re using the app, please be aware that we assume that you have received permission from the bill payer for using the app.

Along the same lines, Coriolis cannot always take responsibility for the way you use the app i.e. You need to make sure that your device stays charged – if it runs out of battery and you can’t turn it on to avail the Service, Coriolis cannot accept responsibility.

With respect to Coriolis’s responsibility for your use of the app, when you’re using the app, it’s important to bear in mind that although we endeavor to ensure that it is updated and correct at all times, we do rely on third parties to provide information to us so that we can make it available to you. Coriolis accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, you experience as a result of relying wholly on this functionality of the app.

At some point, we may wish to update the app. The app is currently available on Android & iOS – the requirements for the both systems(and for any additional systems we decide to extend the availability of the app to) may change, and you’ll need to download the updates if you want to keep using the app. Coriolis does not promise that it will always update the app so that it is relevant to you and/or works with the Android & iOS version that you have installed on your device. However, you promise to always accept updates to the application when offered to you, We may also wish to stop providing the app, and may terminate use of it at any time without giving notice of termination to you. Unless we tell you otherwise, upon any termination, (a) the rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will end; (b) you must stop using the app, and (if needed) delete it from your device.

Changes to This Terms and Conditions

We may update our Terms and Conditions from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page.

Inappropriate Content

To ensure that Coriolis remains a safe and respectful platform, we've created standards defining and prohibiting content that is harmful or inappropriate for our users.

Sexual Content and Profanity

We don't allow content that contain or promote sexual content or profanity, including pornography, or any content or services intended to be sexually gratifying. We don’t allow app content that appear to promote a sexual act in exchange for compensation. Content that contains nudity may be allowed if the primary purpose is educational, documentary, scientific or artistic, and is not gratuitous.

If a content that violates this policy but that content is deemed appropriate in a particular region, the app may be available to users in that region, but will remain unavailable to users in other regions.

Examples of common violations

• Depictions of sexual nudity, or sexually suggestive poses in which the subject is nude, blurred or minimally clothed, and/or where the clothing would not be acceptable in an appropriate public context.
• Depictions, animations or illustrations of sex acts, or sexually suggestive poses or the sexual depiction of body parts.
• Content that depicts or are functionally sexual aids, sex guides, illegal sexual themes and fetishes.
• Content that is lewd or profane - including but not limited to content which may contain profanity, slurs, explicit text, adult/sexual keywords in the store listing or in-app.
• Content that depicts, describes, or encourages bestiality.
• Apps that promote sex-related entertainment, escort services, or other services that may be interpreted as providing sexual acts in exchange for compensation, including but not limited to compensated dating or sexual arrangements where one participant is expected or implied to provide money, gifts, or financial support to another participant (“sugar dating”).
• Apps that degrade or objectify people, such as apps that claim to undress people or see through clothing, even if labelled as prank or entertainment apps.

Hate Speech

We don't allow user or content that promote violence, or incite hatred against individuals or groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, caste, immigration status, or any other characteristic that is associated with systemic discrimination or marginalization.

Media which contain EDSA (Educational, Documentary, Scientific, or Artistic) content related to Nazis may be blocked in certain countries, in accordance with local laws and regulations.

Examples of common violations

• Content or speech asserting that a protected group is inhuman, inferior or worthy of being hated.
• Contant that contain hateful slurs, stereotypes, or theories about a protected group possessing negative characteristics (e.g., malicious, corrupt, evil, etc.), or explicitly or implicitly claims the group is a threat.
• Content or speech trying to encourage others to believe that people should be hated or discriminated against because they are a member of a protected group.
• Content which promotes hate symbols such as flags, symbols, insignias, paraphernalia or behaviors associated with hate groups.

Violence

We don't allow content that depict or facilitate gratuitous violence or other dangerous activities. Apps that depict fictional violence in the context of a game, such as cartoons, hunting or fishing, are generally allowed.

Examples of common violations

• Graphic depictions or descriptions of realistic violence or violent threats to any person or animal.
• Content that promote self harm, suicide, eating disorders, choking games or other acts where serious injury or death may result.
• Terrorist Content
• We do not permit terrorist organizations to publish content on Coriolis for any purpose, including recruitment.

We don't allow content related to terrorism, such as content that promotes terrorist acts, incites violence, or celebrates terrorist attacks. If posting content related to terrorism for an educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic purpose, be mindful to provide relevant EDSA context.

Dangerous Movements and Organizations

We do not permit movements or organizations that have engaged in, prepared for, or claimed responsibility for acts of violence against civilians to publish content on Coriolis for any purpose, including recruitment.

We don’t allow content related to planning, preparing, or glorifying violence against civilians. If includes such content for an EDSA purpose, that content must be provided alongside the relevant EDSA context.

Sensitive Events

We don't allow content that lack reasonable sensitivity towards or capitalize on a natural disaster, atrocity, health crisis, conflict, death, or other tragic event. Apps with content related to a sensitive event are generally allowed if that content has EDSA (Educational, Documentary, Scientific, or Artistic) value or intends to alert users to or raise awareness for the sensitive event.

Examples of violations

• Lacking sensitivity regarding the death of a real person or group of people due to suicide, overdose, natural causes, etc.
• Denying a major tragic event.
• Appearing to profit from a tragic event with no discernible benefit to the victims.
• Apps that are in violation of the Requirements for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) apps article.

Bullying and Harassment

We don't allow content that contain or facilitate threats, harassment, or bullying.

Examples of common violations

• Bullying victims of international or religious conflicts.
• Content that seeks to exploit others, including extortion, blackmail, etc.
• Posting content in order to humiliate someone publicly.
• Harassing victims, or their friends and families, of a tragic event.

Dangerous Products

We don't allow content that facilitate the sale of explosives, firearms, ammunition, or certain firearms accessories.

Restricted accessories include those that enable a firearm to simulate automatic fire or convert a firearm to automatic fire (e.g., bump stocks, gatling triggers, drop-in auto sears, conversion kits), and magazines or belts carrying more than 30 rounds.

We don't allow content that provide instructions for the manufacture of explosives, firearms, ammunition, restricted firearm accessories, or other weapons. This includes instructions on how to convert a firearm to automatic, or simulated automatic, firing capabilities.

Marijuana

We don't allow content that facilitate the sale of marijuana or marijuana products, regardless of legality.

Examples of common violations

• Allowing users to order marijuana through an in-app shopping cart feature.
• Assisting users in arranging delivery or pick up of marijuana.
• Facilitating the sale of products containing THC(Tetrahydrocannabinol), including products such as CBD oils containing THC.

Tobacco and Alcohol

We don't allow content that facilitate the sale of tobacco (including e-cigarettes and vape pens) or encourage the illegal or inappropriate use of alcohol or tobacco.

Examples of common violations

• Depicting or encouraging the use or sale of alcohol or tobacco to minors.
• Implying that consuming tobacco can improve social, sexual, professional, intellectual, or athletic standing.
• Portraying excessive drinking favorably, including the favorable portrayal of excessive, binge or competition drinking.

Protection of minors and prohibition of sexual exploitation and abuse

We are firmly committed to ensuring the safety of minors and to combating any form of sexual exploitation or abuse against them. As such, the following rules strictly apply to all users of the platform:

1. Absolute prohibition of illegal content

It is strictly forbidden to publish, share, distribute or solicit any content involving the exploitation, abuse or any other form of endangerment of a minor, including but not limited to:

Any content of a sexual nature featuring minors, including images, videos, drawings or graphic representations. Any text or message inciting, facilitating or normalizing the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors. Any information allowing contact with a minor for inappropriate purposes. Any such content will be immediately removed and reported to the relevant authorities.

2. Reporting and cooperation with authorities

Any user who encounters or suspects the presence of illicit or inappropriate content involving a minor is invited to report it immediately via our integrated reporting system or by contacting our moderation team directly. The platform actively cooperates with law enforcement and child protection organizations to investigate and take the necessary measures.

3. Prohibition of predation and harassment of minors

It is prohibited to enter into contact with a minor on the platform with the aim of establishing an abusive, sexual or inappropriate relationship (grooming). Any behavior of manipulation, coercion or incitement of a minor to share information or content of a sexual nature will be reported to the authorities and may result in legal sanctions. Any user who pretends to be a minor or who attempts to mislead a minor for malicious purposes will be immediately banned and reported.

4. Moderation and security measures

We use advanced technologies and dedicated moderation teams to detect, prevent and remove any content that violates these rules. We may suspend or ban any account suspected of endangering the safety of minors, even without formal proof, as a precautionary measure. In some cases, access to certain features may be restricted for minor users in order to limit their exposure to potential risks.

5. User responsibility

Each user is responsible for complying with these rules and must ensure that no inappropriate content or behavior is disseminated via their account. Any violation of these rules will result in immediate sanctions, which may include deletion of the account and transmission of information to the competent authorities. By using our tool, you accept these rules and recognize the importance of protecting minors from any form of exploitation or abuse.
