An Exclusive Preview of the Brand-New, All-Electric, Porsche Macan
The new, all-electric second-generation Porsche Macan SUV recently made a special surprise appearance at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Bangkok, where invited guests got an exclusive sneak preview.

Porsche Thailand recently unveiled the all-electric Macan 4 and Macan Turbo – their latest SUVs – with an exclusive private preview at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Bangkok. At the event, guests immersed themselves in a world of luxury and elegance with a captivating opera performance, as well as a fashion show that aligned with the new Macan’s ‘Keep Your Essence’ theme. The evening culminated with a stunning appearance by Cris Horwang, who further embodied this theme through her unique style and grace.

“The new all-electric Macan combines electrifying performance with Porsche’s iconic design language,” remarked Peter Rohwer, Managing Director of Porsche Thailand. “Following in the footsteps of the Taycan – our first all-electric sportscar – the new Macan epitomises our passion for innovation while remaining quintessentially Porsche. In line with this, we encourage the Porsche community in Thailand to keep their essence, and to celebrate their unique identity.”
Having first premiered in Singapore, back in January, the new Macan 4 and Macan Turbo are performance-oriented SUVs that deliver all-terrain E-Performance and a high level of practicality for everyday use, high-quality equipment and spacious configuration. The electric motors draw their energy from a lithium-ion battery in the underbody, with a gross capacity of 100 kWh, of which up to 95 kWh can be actively used.

The HV battery is a central component of the newly developed Premium Platform Electric (PPE) with 800-volt architecture, used by Porsche for the first time in the new Macan. DC charging output is up to 270 kW, and the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent within approximately 21 minutes at a suitable fast-charging station.
The transition to being all-electric has led to increased luggage space in the Macan. Depending on the model and equipment fitted, the capacity behind the rear seat bench is up to 540 litres (cargo mode). In addition, there is the ‘frunk’, a second luggage compartment under the bonnet with a capacity of 84 litres (and this amounts to 127 litres more than the previous model). If the rear seat backrest is folded down completely, the rear luggage compartment capacity increases to up to 1,348 litres. Additionally, a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 kg rounds off the highly practical qualities of this new SUV.

The Macan was developed with a keen focus on quintessential Porsche driving dynamics and a characteristic steering feel. “Thanks to its particularly sporty seat position and low centre of gravity, as well as its impressive driving dynamics and steering precision, the new Macan delivers a real sports car feeling,” explains Jörg Kerner, the Product Line Vice President.

The Macan 4 and Macan Turbo feature all-wheel drive via the two electric motors. The electronically controlled Porsche Traction Management (ePTM) operates around five times faster than a conventional all-wheel drive system and can respond to slip within 10 milliseconds. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), an electronically controlled differential lock on the rear axle, also contributes to the traction, driving stability and lateral dynamics of the Macan Turbo. Macan models with optional air suspension are equipped with the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) electronic damping control.
For the first time, the Macan has optional rear-axle steering, with a maximum steering angle of five degrees. It enables a compact turning circle of 11.1 metres in urban traffic while simultaneously enabling exceptional driving stability at higher speeds, ably assisted by the consistent and precise front-axle steering for which the brand is known.
The Macan is equipped with the latest-generation display and operating concept with up to three screens, including the free-standing 12.6-inch, curved-design instrument cluster and the 10.9-inch central display. The passenger can also view information, adjust settings on the infotainment system or stream video content. For the first time, the Porsche Driver Experience also includes an optional head-up display with augmented reality technology.

The starting prices for the Macan 4 and Macan Turbo are THB 5.39 million and THB 7.79 million, respectively. Additionally, Porsche Thailand announced the vehicles will be available for pre-orders from August 9 to September 30 at an exclusive showcase at AAS House on the second floor of EM Innovation Zone in Emsphere.
