When the Bentley Owners Club Singapore hosts a party, it spares no expense like it did for its recent Chinese New Year Gala 5th Edition held at the Shangri-la Hotel, Singapore. The Tower Ballroom was decked out with a Shanghai Bund-theme photo wall and a customised Hennessy Paradis Imperial bar. The grand affair saw 250 well-heeled guests dressed in Oriental-inspired outfits, who feasted on eight sumptuous courses following a Smoked Salmon Yu Sheng toss. The spread included Braised 8-Head Abalone and Dried Seafood Treasure Soup, Sauteed Hokkaido Scallops with Asparagus in XO Sauce, Steamed Star Garoupa with Superior Soya Sauce and more. Guests also participated in fringe activities which included personalised caricature drawing, traditional couplets done by an on-site Chinese calligrapher, and God of Fortune engagements. Also on display were the latest Bentley Bentayga V8, and high-end jewellery by Vihari Jewels. The opening performance of Taiko Drums and a LED Dragon Dance led to the presentation of appreciation plaques to sponsors, followed by games and a lucky draw of 18 items sponsored by Kwanpen, Neo Group, MTM, Motorwerks, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Sony, Wearnes, Planworth Global Factoring, Rico Engineering Works, Burda Luxury Singapore, Vihari Jewellery, Solar Gard, Zonling, Orange Clove, Lavish Catering and Ethan K. Guests were entertained by Miss Lou’s band that played jazz renditions of popular Mandarin and English hits.
