Kimberley Anne Woltemas Gets Candid
Yes, this ravishing Thai-German actress has 11.1 million Instagram followers (and counting), and yes, she recently tied the knot with fellow thespian Mark Prin in a high-profile marriage. But through it all she remains her own woman, saying that nothing will change who she is deep down.
Love is in the air for Thai-German actress Kimberley Anne Woltemas, who (at the time of this photo shoot) had just returned to Bangkok from her mid-September nuptials. Her high-profile marriage to Thai actor Prin Suparat – known internationally as Mark Prin – was a truly memorable event, and she’s still glowing with marital bliss. Needless to say, it’s an honour for us that this was the superstar’s first post-wedding interview.
The couple’s pre-wedding photos, which were taken in Tuscany and then released to the press, captured the essence of their ethereal romance. There’s an old saying that photos don’t lie, and sure enough in these portraits Kimberley looked every inch a princess in her enchanting bridal gown, custom-made for her by Dior. You could say she was the leading lady in her very own fairytale.

As for the wedding itself, it was the stuff of dreams; an intimate, yet still star-studded affair held at Villa Bonomi, an aristocratic 11-bedroom property on Lake Como. Originally built in the 1920’s, this lavish lakeside hideaway has since been beautifully restored – twice – with renowned landscape architect Pietro Porcinai adding his distinctive touch to the stunning four-hectare park that surrounds the villa.
With their autumn nuptials now safely behind them, this celebrity couple held another wedding celebration in Bangkok early in November – a much larger affair for all their family and friends in attendance, and with the ballroom of Centara Grand at CentralWorld magically transformed with a mountain of white flowers.
And now, the happy couple is looking forward to whatever comes next. Having finally tied the knot after a decade-long marathon courtship, it’s not a stretch to say that this pair were literally destined to find each other. Not only do their respective acting careers and shared life experiences make them ideally suited for a life together, but they also seem to complement one another in so many other ways too. “He’s the perfect match,” gushes Kimberley as she speaks of her handsome groom.

Destined for Each Other
When asked to pick a spirit animal for herself and her husband, she pauses briefly before answering. “That’s a good question, although it’s a bit tough to answer. It has never occurred to me to look at our personalities that way. But I think he should be a stallion, because Mark is born in the Chinese zodiac year of the horse. He can’t sit still for long, is full of energy, and likes thinking outside the box. He’s very self-assured.”
Although it wasn’t too hard for Kimberley to describe her other half, she is stumped for a good 20 seconds before choosing a spirit animal for herself. “I guess… I’m a goldfish?” she blurts out after a hushed silence.
“I have a rather poor memory,” she goes on to say, explaining her rather surprising choice. “I can only remember the lines in scripts, but for everything else it’s sometimes challenging, and I’d often need to consult others. For instance, whenever I’m asked about my personal history, I call my sister and go, ‘What was I doing that year?’”
It is, perhaps, serendipitous then that Kimberley has chosen acting as her profession. In turn, the people around her must be of such strong support that she is able to focus squarely on work. As for housework, she and her hubbie share those duties easily.
“I’m good at various kinds of household chores, except that I dislike washing dishes,” she confesses. So does that mean Mark take charge of cleaning up in the kitchen? “Of course, it’s been 10 years now and he’s used to it… and shall continue,” she adds, with a laugh.

The Importance of Staying Grounded
Despite her immense fame, Kimberley’s head is placed squarely on her shoulders. “My daily life is not unlike that of regular folks. It’s very ordinary, because I like going everywhere and I wouldn’t stop myself from discovering new places just because I’m in the spotlight. Mark and I have also been going to the supermarket to buy groceries ever since our dating days. When I became an actress, I already knew I didn’t want to lose the joy of having a normal life,” she asserts.
Her conviction when it comes to leading life on her own terms is nicely reflected in her dress sense. Here she prioritises simplicity, elegance, and comfort above all. Throw on a T-shirt and a pair of trousers, and she’s ready to go.
“I like keeping things uncomplicated. Usually, I don’t exceed more than three basic colours for one outfit,” she says, “but occasionally I add some extra colours to brighten up the look.” Meanwhile, the fact that Kimberley is a ‘Friend of the Maison’ for Cartier Thailand means that you’ll usually spot her sporting a bit of glitzy bling as well.
One of the most exciting things in any newly married couple’s life is the big move into their matrimonial home, something which Kimberley and Mark just did back in October. And a key feature of their luxury love nest is roses, which this beautiful bride absolutely adores.
“I used to have different species of roses but, being away due to my busy schedule, all of them ended up dying,” she recalls. “This time, however, I bought 10 pots of roses, and among them there are breeds from Germany, Japan, and even Chiang Mai. I have a passion for roses, and growing them is something that reflects my feminine side.”

No Damsel in Distress
Certainly, for a celebrity to have come this far it takes healthy doses of grit, determination, and inner strength and, with this idea in mind, Kimberley admits that she has a rather formidable masculine side as well.
“I’m used to doing a lot of things myself. I’m no damsel in distress,” she remarks. “I’m not a dainty woman. Even if, say, I can’t open this bottle of water, I wouldn’t ask someone else to do it. Plus, I carry my own shopping bags, regardless of how heavy they are.”
Work-wise, Kimberley is a bona fide professional, and her newly married status won’t shake that. “I don’t complain about work. I’m a ‘let’s do this!’ kind of person. I am very independent,” she proudly declares
So, even as her star is rising rapidly – with 11.1 million Instagram followers and counting – Kimberley Anne Woltemas remains steadfast that fame won’t change who she is deep down.
