Lars Svensson received his MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics, and also has a postgraduate scholarship for Malay language studies from the National University of Singapore. Since 1992, he has worked in regional and local management roles around Southeast Asia, mainly with IKEA but also for Novena Holdings and Oriflame. In between it all, he returned to his native Sweden as Managing Director for Japro Management Consulting, and CEO for Internet start-up Global Events Online. Currently, he is the Chair of the Sustainability Committee of the Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce, but he has also served as Councillor for Southwest CDC in Singapore. Recently, he and two Swedish partners launched Wallander & Sson, a management consulting firm specialising in sustainability integration, social entrepreneurship, and transformation – enabled through Collective Intelligence methodology – and he also mentors with Unreasonable Group and Thought Partner, with Ashoka. He is married, and has two teenaged children.
