KENT & CURWEN CENTENARY SPRINT CUP, SHA TIN; JANUARY 25
As the Tony Cruz-trained Peniaphobia streaked to victory in the sixth edition of the Kent & Curwen Centenary Sprint Cup at Sha Tin on January 25, the British luxury menswear brand hosted a fête in the stands above for an eclectic mix of spectators, including horse-racing enthusiasts, celebrities, socialites, royalty and international athletes.
London’s Borough Market inspired the distinctive luncheonhall setting, and each serving station was decorated to mirror a market food stall serving scrumptious British-themed delicacies. Guests partook of their victuals at the Jockey Club Box, where a variety of entertainments included illustrator Mickco Chan dashing off portraits of guests and a free embroidery service at the Kent & Curwen Cup pop-up store. After the race, the label’s ambassadors, English football great Michael Owen and entertainer Aaron Kwok, joined company worthies to present the trophy to the race winner’s owner, trainer and jockey.
