When his life’s goal was still to one day become a renowned brain surgeon, Varit “Top” Taifayongvichit chose to do his pre-med Bachelor’s degree in Biopsychology at Messiah University in Pennsylvania. However, fate – and some wise advice from his parents, Aphimuk and Chamaiporn Taifayongvichit – prompted him to choose a slightly different career path. After a brief stint as an investment consultant at a securities firm, he returned to the medical sphere and is now the CEO and board member of Life Women’s Health Ltd, Miskawaan Biotechnology Ltd, and Miskawaan Health Group Ltd. Always an avid sportsman, Varit is keenly interested in “biohacking”, a term used to describe the science of super-optimising one’s health and bodily capacity. Combined with a careful training regimen, Varit hopes his biohacks will help him achieve his dream of becoming a professional athlete and qualifying for the Thailand Basketball League.
